General:

When and where is the event, and what is the parking situation?

The TXGO 19 will take place at St. Joseph's Society Hall located in downtown San Antonio.  There is free parking available at the venue, but it is recommended you get there early as spots are first come, first-served.

What is being served for food?  Is it only lunch?

Pizza is to be ordered for lunch for all ticket holders.  Soda and snacks will be available throughout the event (as supplies last).  If you have food allergies or dietary concerns, make sure I am aware, so I can do my best to accommodate.  Email jwalsh1255@gmail.com with that information, which will stay private.  You are also more than welcome to bring any food or drinks you like.

What is the official FFG prize support?

FFG will provide “Community Cards” - high quality alternate art cards normally available only at major conventions and events.  Prizes are based on attendance - more competitors means more prizes FFG will send.

Can tournament organizers compete?

They will be NOT be allowed to compete.  Each game will have a dedicated judge/T.O.  The judgement of the Tournament Official is final.  See The High Council to see the T.O.'s for each game.

What is the deadline for new content to be tournament legal?

Any product released at least 11 days before the event will be legal.  That makes the cutoff date Sept 3, 2019.

Armada:

Can third party mats, tokens and measuring devices be used?

Yes, but at the discretion of the Armada Tournament Official. (T.O.).  Any 3rd party measuring devices must be verified, and 3rd party dice will not be allowed.  Mats to be verified by tournament officials, but most should be ok.

Who is the T.O.?

Benjamin Hicks is our Tournament Official for Armada.

X-Wing 2.0:

Can third party mats, tokens and measuring devices be used?

Yes, but at the discretion of the X-Wing 2.0 Tournament Official. (T.O.).  Any 3rd party measuring devices must be verified, and 3rd party dice will not be allowed.  Mats to be verified by tournament officials, but most should be ok.  It is at the discretion of the Tournament Organizer to allow/disallow 3rd party content.

Stephen Bachran is our X-Wing 2.0 Tournament Official.

What format will be used for the tournament?

We will be using the Extended format for the TXGO 2019.

Destiny:

What format will be used for the event?

Standard format will be used.  Whatever is considered Standard on Sept 3, 2019 will be allowed.

Who is the T.O.?

Ryan Dobberstine will the Tournament Official for Destiny.

Legion:

Will the new RRG that takes effect 9/12/19 be in effect for the TXGO?

Yes, it will.  Please review the new RRG contained on FFG's Organized Play resources for Legion.

What is the terrain situation like?

Many of our local gaming stores provide incredible terrain for us to use at the Texas Galactic Open.  In addition, players are more than welcome to bring in their own creations and terrain. It will be at the discretion of the Tournament Organizer on what pieces are used, and how the tables are organized.
